Market Development began operating in 1997 when the founder
was approached by several emerging enterprises to provide certain
business development services and find sources of capital. Most
of these entrepreneurs had already paid upfront fees to investment
bankers promising to raise capital, business plan writers promising
to introduce the entrepreneur to money sources, and so called
“finders” who claimed to have the connections to
get the company funding. It was obvious that these service providers
were more interested in their upfront fees than in developing
profitable enterprises. The company has since evolved into an
all inclusive business development services company that provides
experience, strategy and vision.
Over
the last 8 years the company has participated in securing
over $120 million in investment capital. Fifty percent of
companies that have received our full suite of services have
experienced an IPO, Merger, or Acquisition.
